Colorado Springs is a home rule municipality in, and the county seat of, El Paso County, Colorado, United States. It is the largest city in El Paso County, with a population of 478,961 at the 2020 United States Census, a 15.02% increase since 2010. Colorado Springs is the second-most populous city and the most extensive city in the state of Colorado, and the 40th-most populous city in the United States. It is the principal city of the Colorado Springs metropolitan area and the second-most prominent city of the Front Range Urban Corridor. It is located in east-central Colorado, on Fountain Creek, 70 miles (113 km) south of Denver.

Dongchuan District, belonging to Kunming City, Yunnan Province, is located in the northeast of Yunnan Province and the northernmost end of Kunming City, 150km away from Kunming, adjacent to Huize County, Qujing City, Yunnan Province in the east, Xundian County, Kunming City in the south, Luquan County, Kunming City in the west, Qiaojia County, Zhaotong City, Yunnan Province in the north, and across the Jinsha River from Huili County and Huidong County, Liangshan Prefecture, Sichuan Province, with a total area of 1858.79 square kilometers. Dongchuan District is located on the northern edge of the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau, with the highest elevation of 4344.1 meters, the lowest elevation of 695 meters, and the height difference of 3649.1 meters. Dongchuan District is rich in mineral resources and is one of the six major copper production bases in China. Jiaozi Snow Mountain is known as "the first mountain in central Yunnan". The Xiaojiang basin is a typical rainstorm and debris flow area in the world, which is called "the natural museum of debris flow". Both sides of the Xiaojiang River are Kunming.
