Colorado Springs is a home rule municipality in, and the county seat of, El Paso County, Colorado, United States. It is the largest city in El Paso County, with a population of 478,961 at the 2020 United States Census, a 15.02% increase since 2010. Colorado Springs is the second-most populous city and the most extensive city in the state of Colorado, and the 40th-most populous city in the United States. It is the principal city of the Colorado Springs metropolitan area and the second-most prominent city of the Front Range Urban Corridor. It is located in east-central Colorado, on Fountain Creek, 70 miles (113 km) south of Denver.
Eryuan County is one of the counties under the jurisdiction of Dali Prefecture, Yunnan Province. It is located in the north of Dali City, the source of Erhai Lake. With a land area of 2875 square kilometers, it is an ethnic minority county inhabited by 24 ethnic groups, including Han, Bai, Yi, Hui, Dai and Lisu, with a total population of 320400 at the end of 1999. Because of its rich natural resources, Eryuan is praised as "land of fish and rice", "hometown of plum", "hometown of dairy cows", "hometown of hot springs", "hometown of orchids", "hometown of plateau water" and "hometown of suona". On September 29, 2018, Eryuan County was approved to withdraw from the poverty-stricken county after being studied by the Yunnan provincial party committee and provincial government.
