New York, often called New York City[a] or NYC, is the most populous city in the United States. With a 2020 population of 8,804,190 distributed over 300.46 square miles (778.2 km2), New York City is also the most densely populated major city in the United States, and is more than twice as populous as second-place Los Angeles. Home to the headquarters of the United Nations, New York is an important center for international diplomacy, an established safe haven for global investors, and is sometimes described as the capital of the world.

Helong City, which belongs to Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture of Jilin Province, is located in the southeast of Jilin Province, in the south of Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture, at the eastern foot of Changbai Mountain, on the north bank of the upper reaches of Tumen River, bordering Longjing City in the east, Antu County in the west, Longjing and Antu cities and counties in the north, and the Democratic people's Republic of Korea in the south across the Tumen River.
