New York, often called New York City[a] or NYC, is the most populous city in the United States. Home to the headquarters of the United Nations, New York is an important center for international diplomacy, an established safe haven for global investors, and is sometimes described as the capital of the world.

It is a pilot county for building a modern big city in Shandong Province. It is located in the middle of Taiyi Mountains and belongs to the warm temperate continental monsoon climate zone. It has jurisdiction over 3 streets, 17 towns and 1 township, with a total area of 1946 square kilometers and a registered household population of 1.2742 million in 2017. Xintai had human existence in the Paleolithic Age. The unearthed teeth of Homo sapiens in Wuzhutai proved that it was once one of the birthplaces of the Chinese nation. There are three state-owned ecological public welfare forest farms in Lianhua Mountain, Taiping Mountain and Tumen. Lianhuashan is a world geological park, a national 4A scenic spot and a national forest park. The road traffic in the territory is well developed, with two expressways of Beijing-Shanghai Expressway and Taixin Expressway and Cilai, East (East Capital) Ping (Pingyi) and Wali (Jinzhong).
