New York, often called New York City[a] or NYC, is the most populous city in the United States. With a 2020 population of 8,804,190 distributed over 300.46 square miles (778.2 km2), New York City is also the most densely populated major city in the United States, and is more than twice as populous as second-place Los Angeles. New York City lies at the southern tip of New York State, and constitutes the geographical and demographic center of both the Northeast megalopolis and the New York metropolitan area, the largest metropolitan area in the world by urban landmass. With over 20.1 million people in its metropolitan statistical area and 23.5 million in its combined statistical area as of 2020, New York is one of the world's most populous megacities, and over 58 million people live within 250 mi (400 km) of the city. New York City is a global cultural, financial, entertainment, and media center with a significant influence on commerce, health care and life sciences, research, technology, education, politics, tourism, dining, art, fashion, and sports. Home to the headquarters of the United Nations, New York is an important center for international diplomacy, an established safe haven for global investors, and is sometimes described as the capital of the world.

Xuancheng, known as Wanling and Xuanzhou in ancient times, is a prefecture-level city in Anhui Province, located in the southeast of Anhui Province, bordered by Hangzhou and Huzhou in Zhejiang Province to the east, Huangshan in the south, Chizhou and Wuhu in the west and northwest, Maanshan in the province and Nanjing, Changzhou and Wuxi in Jiangsu Province to the north and northeast. It is located on the western waist line of the Shanghai-Nanjing-Hangzhou Triangle. It is a member city of Nanjing metropolitan area and the central city of G60 Kechuang Corridor. The city of Wanjiang takes the first wing of the demonstration area to undertake industrial transfer, which is the forward position for the central region to undertake the industrial and capital transfer in the eastern region, the central city of Anhui, Jiangsu and Zhejiang, and an important channel for the southeast coast to communicate with the interior. Xuancheng is located in the south of the Yangtze River, which has been said to be "the combination of the south and the north" since ancient times. Since the establishment of the county in the Western Han Dynasty, it has a history of more than 2000 years. Xuancheng has been since the Western Han Dynasty.
