New York, often called New York City[a] or NYC, is the most populous city in the United States. Home to the headquarters of the United Nations, New York is an important center for international diplomacy, an established safe haven for global investors, and is sometimes described as the capital of the world.

Suoxian is located at the junction of the northern Tibetan plateau and the alpine canyon in eastern Tibet, located in the Suoqu River basin in the upper reaches of the Nujiang River, and is one of the "three eastern counties" of Naqu City.
