Memphis is a city in the U.S. state of Tennessee. It is the seat of Shelby County in the southwest part of the state; it is situated along the Mississippi River. With a population of 633,104 at the 2020 U.S. census, Memphis is the second-most populous city in Tennessee, after Nashville.
Memphis is the fifth-most populous city in the Southeast, the nation's 28th-largest overall, as well as the largest city bordering the Mississippi River. The Memphis metropolitan area includes West Tennessee and the greater Mid-South region, which includes portions of neighboring Arkansas, Mississippi and the Missouri Bootheel. One of the more historic and culturally significant cities of the Southern United States, Memphis has a wide variety of landscapes and distinct neighborhoods.
Baoding, known in ancient times as Shanggu, Baozhou, Zaocheng and Baofu, is located in the middle of Hebei Province and at the eastern foot of the Taihang Mountains. It is one of the central cities in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region and a part of China (Hebei) Free Trade Experimental Zone. In the Qing Dynasty, Baoding was the capital of Zhili Province and the resident of the governor of Zhili Province. for nearly 300 years from 1669 to 1968, Baoding was the political, economic, cultural and military center of Hebei and the regional political center of China. After the founding of New China, it has also been the provincial capital of Hebei Province twice. Baoding is also the legendary hometown of Emperor Yao, with a history of more than 3000 years. It is the kingdom of Yan and Zhongshan in history.
