Memphis is a city in the U.S. state of Tennessee. It is the seat of Shelby County in the southwest part of the state; it is situated along the Mississippi River. With a population of 633,104 at the 2020 U.S. census, Memphis is the second-most populous city in Tennessee, after Nashville.

Memphis is the fifth-most populous city in the Southeast, the nation's 28th-largest overall, as well as the largest city bordering the Mississippi River. The Memphis metropolitan area includes West Tennessee and the greater Mid-South region, which includes portions of neighboring Arkansas, Mississippi and the Missouri Bootheel. One of the more historic and culturally significant cities of the Southern United States, Memphis has a wide variety of landscapes and distinct neighborhoods.

Baojing County, which belongs to Xiangxi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture, is located in the east of Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau, in the middle of Wuling Mountains, northwest of Hunan Province, bordering Jishou City, Huayuan County, Yongshun County, Guzhang County, Longshan County and Xiushan County of Chongqing Municipality. The total population is 310000, and the main ethnic groups are Tujia and Miao people. Jurisdiction over Qianling, Fuxing, Purong, Maogou, Yezhuping, Qingshuiping, Beer, Paddy River, Wanmipo, Hulu 10 towns and Datuo, Yang Dynasty, Tu Chao, Mercury, Qingshui, ramming sand 6 townships, with a total area of 1760.65 square kilometers. In 2015, Baojing County was under the jurisdiction of 2 townships and 10 towns after the adjustment of township division. Baojing is a state-level poverty-stricken county. Youshui River is the most mysterious, characteristic and promising mother river in western Hunan.
