Memphis is a city in the U.S. state of Tennessee. It is the seat of Shelby County in the southwest part of the state; it is situated along the Mississippi River. With a population of 633,104 at the 2020 U.S. census, Memphis is the second-most populous city in Tennessee, after Nashville.

Memphis is the fifth-most populous city in the Southeast, the nation's 28th-largest overall, as well as the largest city bordering the Mississippi River. The Memphis metropolitan area includes West Tennessee and the greater Mid-South region, which includes portions of neighboring Arkansas, Mississippi and the Missouri Bootheel. One of the more historic and culturally significant cities of the Southern United States, Memphis has a wide variety of landscapes and distinct neighborhoods.

Hezheng County, a county under the jurisdiction of Linxia Hui Autonomous Prefecture, Gansu Province, is located in the south of Linxia Hui Autonomous Prefecture of Gansu Province. It is located in the confluence of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau and the Loess Plateau. The terrain descends from south to north, with great differences in elevation and climate. The total area is 960 square kilometers. It has jurisdiction over 9 towns and 4 townships, with a total population of 217300 in 2017. Hezheng County crosses the mountains to the east to reach the Guanghe River and the recreational area; to the south, it connects Zhuoni and the cooperative land through the gorge; to the west, the Kanglin Expressway runs through the east and west, and the Hehe Highway, Linkang and second-class highways run through the north and south; there are national 4A scenic spots such as Songmingyan, Taizi Mountain and Nanyang Mountain, which are provincial scenic spots.
