Memphis is a city in the U.S. state of Tennessee. It is the seat of Shelby County in the southwest part of the state; it is situated along the Mississippi River. With a population of 633,104 at the 2020 U.S. census, Memphis is the second-most populous city in Tennessee, after Nashville.

Memphis is the fifth-most populous city in the Southeast, the nation's 28th-largest overall, as well as the largest city bordering the Mississippi River. The Memphis metropolitan area includes West Tennessee and the greater Mid-South region, which includes portions of neighboring Arkansas, Mississippi and the Missouri Bootheel. One of the more historic and culturally significant cities of the Southern United States, Memphis has a wide variety of landscapes and distinct neighborhoods.

Nanxian County, which belongs to Yiyang City, Hunan Province, is located in the border of Hunan and Hubei provinces and the hinterland of Dongting Lake area. Nanxian County is connected with Shishou, Public Security and Songzi in Hubei Province in the north, Anxiang and Hanshou counties in Changde City in the west, Huarong County in Yueyang City in the east, Yuanjiang City in Yiyang City in the south, and Datong Lake, Beizhouzi, Jinpan, Nanwan Lake and Qianshanhong in the southeast, which is one of the 36 border counties in Hunan Province. In 1988, Nanxian County was approved as a "revolutionary base county" by the State Council. The land area is 1321 square kilometers, with a total population of 794100 (2009). South County under the jurisdiction of 13 towns and 2 townships, there are Luowen Huahai graffiti Village, Dechang Park, Maocaojie Bridge, Nanzhou Square, Nanzhou National Wetland Park and other scenic spots. In 2016, the GDP of the whole county was realized.
