Memphis is a city in the U.S. state of Tennessee. It is the seat of Shelby County in the southwest part of the state; it is situated along the Mississippi River. With a population of 633,104 at the 2020 U.S. census, Memphis is the second-most populous city in Tennessee, after Nashville.

Memphis is the fifth-most populous city in the Southeast, the nation's 28th-largest overall, as well as the largest city bordering the Mississippi River. The Memphis metropolitan area includes West Tennessee and the greater Mid-South region, which includes portions of neighboring Arkansas, Mississippi and the Missouri Bootheel. One of the more historic and culturally significant cities of the Southern United States, Memphis has a wide variety of landscapes and distinct neighborhoods.

Dabancheng District, which belongs to Urumqi City, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous region, is under the jurisdiction of Urumqi City; it is located at the northern foot of Tianshan Mountain, the southern section of Junggar Basin, the southern suburbs of Urumqi, Dawan Township and Tori Township to the west, Turpan City and Toksun County to the southeast, Lucaogou Township and Fukang City and Jimusar County to the north, and Tiange Mountain in the middle of Tianshan Mountains to the south. As of 2010, Dabancheng District has a total population of 63000, mainly Han, Hui, Kazak and Uygur, with ethnic minorities accounting for 42.8% of the total population. In 2010, the regional GDP was 1.683 billion yuan, an increase of 12.1% over the same period last year; local revenue was 347 million yuan, an increase of 63% over 2009; and fixed asset investment was 567 million yuan, an increase of 17.2% over 2009
