Memphis is a city in the U.S. state of Tennessee. It is the seat of Shelby County in the southwest part of the state; it is situated along the Mississippi River. With a population of 633,104 at the 2020 U.S. census, Memphis is the second-most populous city in Tennessee, after Nashville.

Memphis is the fifth-most populous city in the Southeast, the nation's 28th-largest overall, as well as the largest city bordering the Mississippi River. The Memphis metropolitan area includes West Tennessee and the greater Mid-South region, which includes portions of neighboring Arkansas, Mississippi and the Missouri Bootheel. One of the more historic and culturally significant cities of the Southern United States, Memphis has a wide variety of landscapes and distinct neighborhoods.

Yuci, known as Weiyu in ancient times, is located in Taiyuan Basin in central Shanxi, bordered by Shouyang County and Heshun County in the east, Qingxu County in the west, Taigu District in the south and Taiyuan City in the northwest. Yuci District is the political, economic and transportation center of Jinzhong City, covering an area of 1328 square kilometers. It is known as the "provincial capital gateway". Yuci was called "Tushui" and "Wei Yu" in the Spring and Autumn period and "Yuci" in the warring States period. Yuci District was set up in 1948 and Yuci City in 1954. On September 24, 1999, Yuci City was revoked and renamed as Yuci District, Jinzhong City. It has jurisdiction over 9 streets, 6 towns and 4 townships, including 127 communities and 272 administrative villages. City flower rose, city tree Robinia pseudoacacia. Yuci is one of the top ten counties and cities with comprehensive indicators in Shanxi Province, a national ecological demonstration area and a national literature.
