Memphis is a city in the U.S. state of Tennessee. It is the seat of Shelby County in the southwest part of the state; it is situated along the Mississippi River. With a population of 633,104 at the 2020 U.S. census, Memphis is the second-most populous city in Tennessee, after Nashville.

Memphis is the fifth-most populous city in the Southeast, the nation's 28th-largest overall, as well as the largest city bordering the Mississippi River. The Memphis metropolitan area includes West Tennessee and the greater Mid-South region, which includes portions of neighboring Arkansas, Mississippi and the Missouri Bootheel. Pingchang County, which belongs to Bazhong City, Sichuan Province, is located in the northeast of Sichuan Province, at the southern foot of Micang Mountain, Wanyuan City and Xuanhan County to the east, Dazhou County and qu County to the south, Yingshan County and Yilong County to the west, Tongjiang County and Bazhou District to the north, between 31 °16 degrees north latitude and 31 °52 degrees east longitude, and 107 °34 'east longitude. Pingchang County covers a total area of 2229 square kilometers. as of August 2019, it has jurisdiction over 43 townships (33 towns and 10 townships), 9 management committees, 1 subdistrict office, 550 village (neighborhood) committees (507 villages and 43 neighborhood committees), with a total population of 1.08 million, with an agricultural population of 802900, cultivated land of 623200 mu and forest coverage of 50.24%. The built-up area of the county seat is 15.3 square kilometers, with a resident population.
