Memphis is a city in the U.S. state of Tennessee. It is the seat of Shelby County in the southwest part of the state; it is situated along the Mississippi River. With a population of 633,104 at the 2020 U.S. census, Memphis is the second-most populous city in Tennessee, after Nashville.

Gongliu is located in the middle of the Yili River Valley, on the south side of the upper reaches of the Yili River, at the northern foot of the Narati Mountains, a branch of the Tianshan Mountains, and in the middle of the Yili River Valley, surrounded by Xinyuan, Nilk, Yining, Chabuchal, Tex and Hejing County of Bayingoleng Mongolia Autonomous Prefecture. It is 83 °35'in longitude 81 °34 in east longitude and 43 °38 in latitude 42 °54 in north latitude. The total area of the county is 4528 square kilometers. It now has jurisdiction over 5 farms in 6 towns and 2 townships, living in 23 ethnic groups, including Han, Kazakh, Uygur and Hui, with a total population of 208000 (including 8060 bingtuan). "Gongliu" is the name proposed when the county was founded, which seems to be named after the Gongnai River. According to the manuscript of "Gongliu County Chronicles" during the period of the Republic of China, Gongliu County had a vast territory at that time, so it was ordered to "Gongliu" after the words "Gongjis and Teksta".
