Memphis is a city in the U.S. state of Tennessee. It is the seat of Shelby County in the southwest part of the state; it is situated along the Mississippi River. With a population of 633,104 at the 2020 U.S. census, Memphis is the second-most populous city in Tennessee, after Nashville.
Memphis is the fifth-most populous city in the Southeast, the nation's 28th-largest overall, as well as the largest city bordering the Mississippi River. The Memphis metropolitan area includes West Tennessee and the greater Mid-South region, which includes portions of neighboring Arkansas, Mississippi and the Missouri Bootheel. One of the more historic and culturally significant cities of the Southern United States, Memphis has a wide variety of landscapes and distinct neighborhoods.
Hezhou, a municipality under the jurisdiction of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous region, is located in the northeast of Guangxi. It was evacuated and set up in 2002. It is located at the junction of Hunan, Guangdong and Guangxi provinces (autonomous regions). The administrative area is 11800 square kilometers. By the end of 2018, it had jurisdiction over Babu District, Pinggui District, Zhongshan County, Zhaoping County and Fuchuan Yao Autonomous County, with a resident population of 2.0726 million. Hezhou belongs to the southern subtropical monsoon climate, with sufficient sunshine, abundant rainfall, hot and dry season, obvious dry and wet season, long frost-free period and so on. Hezhou is one of the key forest areas in Guangxi. By the end of 2016, Hezhou had a woodland area of 900400 hectares and a forest coverage rate of 72.87%. In 2018, Hezhou achieved a GDP of 60.263 billion yuan, an increase of 8.9% over the previous year.
