The Kansas City metropolitan area is a bi-state metropolitan area anchored by Kansas City, Missouri. Its 14 counties straddle the border between the U.S. states of Missouri (9 counties) and Kansas (5 counties). With 8,472 square miles (21,940 km2) and a population of more than 2.2 million people, it is the second-largest metropolitan area centered in Missouri (after Greater St. Louis) and is the largest metropolitan area in Kansas, though Wichita is the largest metropolitan area centered in Kansas. Alongside Kansas City, Missouri, these are the suburbs with populations above 100,000: Overland Park, Kansas; Kansas City, Kansas; Olathe, Kansas; Independence, Missouri; and Lee's Summit, Missouri.

Changwu County, which belongs to Xianyang City, Shaanxi Province, is located in the west of Guanzhong and on the south side of the middle reaches of Jinghe River in the northwest of Xianyang City. It is adjacent to Bin County in the east, Lingtai County in Gansu Province to the south, Jingchuan County in Gansu Province to the west, and Ningxian County and Zhengning County in Gansu Province to the north. Between longitude 107 °38 "49"-107 °58 "02" east and latitude 34 °59 °09 "- 35 °18" 37 "north. The longest point from north to south is 30.06km, and the widest from east to west is 27.23km, with a total area of 567.1 square kilometers. At the end of 2016, the resident population of Changwu County was 170878, with a regional gross domestic product (GDP) of 7.2999 billion yuan, of which the added value of the primary industry was 15.86.
