The Kansas City metropolitan area is a bi-state metropolitan area anchored by Kansas City, Missouri. Its 14 counties straddle the border between the U.S. states of Missouri (9 counties) and Kansas (5 counties). With 8,472 square miles (21,940 km2) and a population of more than 2.2 million people, it is the second-largest metropolitan area centered in Missouri (after Greater St. Louis) and is the largest metropolitan area in Kansas, though Wichita is the largest metropolitan area centered in Kansas. Alongside Kansas City, Missouri, these are the suburbs with populations above 100,000: Overland Park, Kansas; Kansas City, Kansas; Olathe, Kansas; Independence, Missouri; and Lee's Summit, Missouri.
Luyi County, Henan Province directly administered County, Zhoukou City escrow. Luyi, known as Minglu, Zhenyuan, Kuxian, Guyang and Xianyuan, is located in the east of Henan Province and the junction of Henan and Anhui provinces. It is bordered by Zhecheng County and Suiyang District of Shangqiu City to the north, Huaiyang County to the west, Dancheng County to the south, and Qiaocheng District, Bozhou City, Anhui Province to the east. Luyi is the hub connecting the Central Plains Economic Zone, the Wanjiang Economic Belt and the Yangtze River Delta. Luyi County has a total area of 1238 square kilometers and a total population of 1.18 million. Luyi is the hometown of Laozi, the founder of Taoism. In November 2011, it was examined and demonstrated by experts organized by the Chinese Folk artists Association and submitted to the China Federation of Literature and Art for examination and approval.
