The Kansas City metropolitan area is a bi-state metropolitan area anchored by Kansas City, Missouri. Its 14 counties straddle the border between the U.S. states of Missouri (9 counties) and Kansas (5 counties). With 8,472 square miles (21,940 km2) and a population of more than 2.2 million people, it is the second-largest metropolitan area centered in Missouri (after Greater St. Louis) and is the largest metropolitan area in Kansas, though Wichita is the largest metropolitan area centered in Kansas. Alongside Kansas City, Missouri, these are the suburbs with populations above 100,000: Overland Park, Kansas; Kansas City, Kansas; Olathe, Kansas; Independence, Missouri; and Lee's Summit, Missouri.
Hutubi County, which belongs to Changji Hui Autonomous Prefecture, is located in the north-central part of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous region, in the hinterland of Eurasia, on the southern edge of Junggar Basin, and 68 kilometers east of Urumqi, the capital of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous region. Hutubi County is 258km long from north to south, with a maximum width of 52km from east to west and a total area of 9721.6 square kilometers. it has jurisdiction over six towns and one township: Hutubi Town, Dafeng Town, Qiergou Town, Shilidian Town, Yuanhucun Town, Wugongtai Town and Stone ladder Township. The county government is stationed in Hutubi town. At the end of 2012, Hutubi County has a total population of 217300, including Han, Kazak, Hui, Uygur and other 25 ethnic groups. In 2017, Hutubi County achieved a regional GDP of 15.76 billion yuan, an increase of 9.2% over the same period last year, and the general public budget income was 985 million yuan.
