The Kansas City metropolitan area is a bi-state metropolitan area anchored by Kansas City, Missouri. Its 14 counties straddle the border between the U.S. states of Missouri (9 counties) and Kansas (5 counties). With 8,472 square miles (21,940 km2) and a population of more than 2.2 million people, it is the second-largest metropolitan area centered in Missouri (after Greater St. Louis) and is the largest metropolitan area in Kansas, though Wichita is the largest metropolitan area centered in Kansas. Alongside Kansas City, Missouri, these are the suburbs with populations above 100,000: Overland Park, Kansas; Kansas City, Kansas; Olathe, Kansas; Independence, Missouri; and Lee's Summit, Missouri.
Zhangwu County, which belongs to Fuxin City, Liaoning Province, is located in the northwest of Liaoning Province, south of Horqin Sandy Land, connecting Kangping and Faku counties to the east, Xinmin City to the south, Laoyang River to the west and Fuxin Mongolian Autonomous County to the north, Kulun Banner and Horqin left Rear Banner in Tongliao City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous region to the north. As of 2018, there are 22 towns and 2 townships in Zhangwu County, and the people's governments of the county are stationed in Zhangwu Town. In 2013, the gross domestic product of Zhangwu County reached 13.5 billion yuan, an increase of 18.3% compared with 2012. Zhangwu County is a "national advanced county in grain production", "national advanced county in basic farmland protection", "national pilot county in forest cutting management reform" and "national safe agricultural machinery demonstration county".
