The Kansas City metropolitan area is a bi-state metropolitan area anchored by Kansas City, Missouri. Its 14 counties straddle the border between the U.S. states of Missouri (9 counties) and Kansas (5 counties). With 8,472 square miles (21,940 km2) and a population of more than 2.2 million people, it is the second-largest metropolitan area centered in Missouri (after Greater St. Louis) and is the largest metropolitan area in Kansas, though Wichita is the largest metropolitan area centered in Kansas. Alongside Kansas City, Missouri, these are the suburbs with populations above 100,000: Overland Park, Kansas; Kansas City, Kansas; Olathe, Kansas; Independence, Missouri; and Lee's Summit, Missouri.

Zhongjiang County, which belongs to Deyang City, Sichuan Province, is a major agricultural county in the western part of the hilly area of central Sichuan. Named after ancient Zhongshui (present-day Luojiang). Zhongjiang is located in the northwest of Sichuan Basin, facing Chengdu to the west, Mianyang to the north and Suining to the south. The main highways passing through the territory are CICC Express, Luogui Highway, Tangba Highway, Chengda Railway, Chengnan (Chong) Expressway, Chengba (Bazhong) Expressway and so on. The county covers an area of 2200 square kilometers and has jurisdiction over 45 townships and 837 villages (communities) with a registered population of 1.399 million (2017). Zhongjiang famous specialty products are hand-made noodles, Babao oil cake, Zhongjiang pomelo and so on. Famous scenic spots include China Shaoyao Valley, Zhongjiang North Pagoda and Huang.
