The Kansas City metropolitan area is a bi-state metropolitan area anchored by Kansas City, Missouri. Its 14 counties straddle the border between the U.S. states of Missouri (9 counties) and Kansas (5 counties). With 8,472 square miles (21,940 km2) and a population of more than 2.2 million people, it is the second-largest metropolitan area centered in Missouri (after Greater St. Louis) and is the largest metropolitan area in Kansas, though Wichita is the largest metropolitan area centered in Kansas. Alongside Kansas City, Missouri, these are the suburbs with populations above 100,000: Overland Park, Kansas; Kansas City, Kansas; Olathe, Kansas; Independence, Missouri; and Lee's Summit, Missouri.

Longgang District is an area under the jurisdiction of Huludao City, Liaoning Province, which is located on the northern seashore of Bohai Sea and on a peninsula on the coast of Liaodong Bay. The total area is 172 square kilometers and the total population is 220000. Longgang District is an industrial area dominated by smelting and shipbuilding. Railway, sea transportation and air transportation constitute a three-dimensional transportation network. Through Haichen Road, Coastal Road and Jinghu Road, it is equal to Lianshan District, and then it is connected with Beijing-Harbin Expressway and National Highway 102. the railway Hulu branch line is connected with Huludao Station of Shenshan Line; the coastal highway of Liaoning Province, with a total length of more than 1440 kilometers, passes through Longgang District, which is 30 kilometers east of Jinzhou Airport; the Huludao Port in the area can park cargo ships below 50,000 tons, which is a natural ice-free port in northern China. The coastline of the region is 54.5 kilometers long and is rich in all kinds of aquatic products.
