The Kansas City metropolitan area is a bi-state metropolitan area anchored by Kansas City, Missouri. Its 14 counties straddle the border between the U.S. states of Missouri (9 counties) and Kansas (5 counties). With 8,472 square miles (21,940 km2) and a population of more than 2.2 million people, it is the second-largest metropolitan area centered in Missouri (after Greater St. Louis) and is the largest metropolitan area in Kansas, though Wichita is the largest metropolitan area centered in Kansas. Alongside Kansas City, Missouri, these are the suburbs with populations above 100,000: Overland Park, Kansas; Kansas City, Kansas; Olathe, Kansas; Independence, Missouri; and Lee's Summit, Missouri.

Gongjing District, located in the hilly area of the south of Sichuan Basin, is the municipal district of Zigong, a famous historical and cultural city. Gongjing, formerly known as "Gongjing", is famous for the retention of more than 1400 years ago in the district. During the reign of Jiajing in the Ming Dynasty, Gongjing officially changed its name to Gongjing. It is an important town of salt industry with a long history and a long history of culture, and it is also one of the birthplaces of well salt. In 2014, Gongjing District achieved a GDP of 11.222 billion yuan for the whole year. In May 2015, Gongjing District covers an area of 417.63k square kilometers, with an urban area of 9.5square kilometers and a resident population of 260607.
