The Kansas City metropolitan area is a bi-state metropolitan area anchored by Kansas City, Missouri. Its 14 counties straddle the border between the U.S. states of Missouri (9 counties) and Kansas (5 counties). With 8,472 square miles (21,940 km2) and a population of more than 2.2 million people, it is the second-largest metropolitan area centered in Missouri (after Greater St. Louis) and is the largest metropolitan area in Kansas, though Wichita is the largest metropolitan area centered in Kansas. Alongside Kansas City, Missouri, these are the suburbs with populations above 100,000: Overland Park, Kansas; Kansas City, Kansas; Olathe, Kansas; Independence, Missouri; and Lee's Summit, Missouri.
Qumalai County is a county under the jurisdiction of Yushu Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture in Qinghai Province. it is located in the southwest and north of Qinghai Province. the county government is stationed in Yogai Town, 310 kilometers away from the state capital. It is located in longitude 92 °56 "97 °35" east and latitude 33 °36 "35 °40 'north. The land area is 47000 square kilometers, with a population of 32000 (2012). The population is mainly Tibetan, and it has jurisdiction over one town and five townships. The government is stationed in a new town. Famous tourist attractions include the Monument to the Source of the Yellow River, King Gesar's landing on the platform, and Tibetan Buddhism.
