The Kansas City metropolitan area is a bi-state metropolitan area anchored by Kansas City, Missouri. Its 14 counties straddle the border between the U.S. states of Missouri (9 counties) and Kansas (5 counties). With 8,472 square miles (21,940 km2) and a population of more than 2.2 million people, it is the second-largest metropolitan area centered in Missouri (after Greater St. Louis) and is the largest metropolitan area in Kansas, though Wichita is the largest metropolitan area centered in Kansas. Alongside Kansas City, Missouri, these are the suburbs with populations above 100,000: Overland Park, Kansas; Kansas City, Kansas; Olathe, Kansas; Independence, Missouri; and Lee's Summit, Missouri.

Longjing City belongs to Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture of Jilin Province. Located in the east of Jilin Province, the southeast of Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture and the eastern foot of Changbai Mountain, it is the forefront of Changji map development and opening up pilot area, an important part of the international cooperation of Tumen River region and the integration of Yanlong map. It is located in the southeast of Jilin Province, at the eastern foot of Changbai Mountain. The geographical coordinates are between 128 °54 °E and 129 °48'E and 42 °21 °N and 43 °24'N. Facing North Korea across the Tumen River in the southeast, the border is 142.5 kilometers long, bordering Yanji City and Tumen City in the northeast, Helong City in the southwest, and Antu County in the northwest. In 2015, Longjing City achieved a GDP of 4.03 billion yuan. As of 2014, Longjing had jurisdiction over 5 towns, 2 townships and 2 streets.
