The Kansas City metropolitan area is a bi-state metropolitan area anchored by Kansas City, Missouri. Its 14 counties straddle the border between the U.S. states of Missouri (9 counties) and Kansas (5 counties). With 8,472 square miles (21,940 km2) and a population of more than 2.2 million people, it is the second-largest metropolitan area centered in Missouri (after Greater St. Louis) and is the largest metropolitan area in Kansas, though Wichita is the largest metropolitan area centered in Kansas. Alongside Kansas City, Missouri, these are the suburbs with populations above 100,000: Overland Park, Kansas; Kansas City, Kansas; Olathe, Kansas; Independence, Missouri; and Lee's Summit, Missouri.

Cixi, named after Dong an's filial piety of mother and son in the Eastern Han Dynasty, is located on the coast of the East China Sea, on the south bank of Hangzhou Bay. It is 60 kilometers east of Ningbo, 148 kilometers north of Shanghai and 138 kilometers west of Hangzhou. It is the center of the economic golden triangle of Shanghai, Hangzhou and Ningbo on the south wing of the Yangtze River Delta around Hangzhou Bay. Cixi is rich in coastal resources, with more than 100,000 mu of coastal land reclaimed and developed, which is the richest area of land reserve resources in Zhejiang Province. Cixi has a long celadon culture, which is known as the birthplace of "the Road of Ceramics on the Sea". The "Green in the South and the White in the North" establishes the pattern of Chinese ceramics. Cixi is also known as the "home appliance capital", and it is also known as the three major home appliance production bases in China with Qingdao and Shunde. Cixi culture belongs to Wu-Yue culture. Cixi people belong to the people of Jiangsu and Zhejiang provinces and use Wu dialect. Cixi is the Great Shanghai Classic in the Yangtze River Delta.

Ningbo Lishe International Airport (Ningbo Lishe International Airport, ICAO: ZSNB, IATA: NGB), located in Lishe Village, Shiqi Street, Haishu District, Ningbo, Zhejiang, China, is only 12 kilometers away from the urban area. It is a 4E-level civil airport.   
Ningbo Lishe International Airport was completed on November 16, 1984, officially opened to navigation on June 30, 1990, and named Ningbo Lishe Airport; on November 29, 2005, it was renamed Ningbo Lishe International Airport with the approval of the Civil Aviation Administration of China ; On February 8, 2006, the expansion project of the flight area was completed; on December 2, 2015, the third phase of the project was fully started.  
As of December 2019, the terminal building of Ningbo Lishe International Airport covers an area of ​​112,400 square meters; there are 45 aircraft seats on the civil aviation platform, 20 of which are near aircraft seats; the runway is 3,200 meters long and 45 meters wide; the airport underground garage Covering 13,400 square meters, the ground parking lot is 47,300 square meters, which can park 869 cars and 12 buses at the same time   ; Ningbo Lishe International Airport opened a total of 143 air routes and 96 navigable cities.  
In 2018, the passenger throughput of Ningbo Lishe International Airport exceeded 11.7 million, reaching 11.7184 million, a year-on-year increase of 24.79%, of which: 5.6396 million inbound passengers, a year-on-year increase of 26.49%; 6.0788 million outbound passengers, a year-on-year increase of 23.25% %.  
At 14:16 pm on April 15, 2022, an aviation all-cargo plane O36993 fully loaded with 12.7 tons of daily chemical products, auto parts, mechanical parts, clothing and other trade goods took off from Ningbo Lishe International Airport. Arrive in Osaka, Japan. This is the first international cargo flight of Ningbo Airport this year.
