San Diego (/ˌsæn diˈeɪɡoʊ/ SAN dee-AY-goh, Spanish: [san ˈdjeɣo]; Spanish for 'Saint Didacus') is a city on the Pacific Ocean coast of Southern California located immediately adjacent to the Mexico–United States border. With a 2020 population of 1,386,932, it is the eighth most populous city in the United States and the seat of San Diego County, the fifth most populous county in the United States, with 3,338,330 estimated residents as of 2019. The city is known for its mild year-round climate, natural deep-water harbor, extensive beaches and parks, long association with the United States Navy, and recent emergence as a healthcare and biotechnology development center. San Diego is the second largest city in the state of California, after Los Angeles.

Gaoyao District is located in the south of Zhaoqing City, Guangdong Province, adjacent to Sanshui District of Foshan City to the east, Yuncheng District of Yunfu City and Deqing County of Zhaoqing City to the west, Gaoming District of Foshan City and Xinxing County of Yunfu City to the south, and connected to Duanzhou District, Dinghu District, Guangning County and Sihui City of Zhaoqing City to the north. It is a civilized city in Guangdong Province and a sanitary city in Guangdong Province. It belongs to the Guangfozhao economic circle and the central area of economic development of Zhaoqing City. The region has a total area of 2071 square kilometers, 16 towns and 1 street, 26 communities and 324 administrative villages. Gaoyao has a long history. Maogang site in Jinli Town is the largest residential building site near the river in Guangdong Province for the first time, more than 4000 years ago.
