San Diego (/ˌsæn diˈeɪɡoʊ/ SAN dee-AY-goh, Spanish: [san ˈdjeɣo]; Spanish for 'Saint Didacus') is a city on the Pacific Ocean coast of Southern California located immediately adjacent to the Mexico–United States border. With a 2020 population of 1,386,932, it is the eighth most populous city in the United States and the seat of San Diego County, the fifth most populous county in the United States, with 3,338,330 estimated residents as of 2019. The city is known for its mild year-round climate, natural deep-water harbor, extensive beaches and parks, long association with the United States Navy, and recent emergence as a healthcare and biotechnology development center. San Diego is the second largest city in the state of California, after Los Angeles.

Mingguang City, also known as Jiashan, Chuzhou City, Anhui Province, is a county-level city in charge of Nanjing metropolitan area. It is located on the northeast edge of Anhui Province and on the north side of the Jianghuai watershed. Mingguang City covers an area of 2335 square kilometers and has a resident population of 644000 in 2017. By 2018, Mingguang City has jurisdiction over 4 streets, 12 towns and 1 township: bordering Nanqiao District, Chuzhou City in the south; Huaihe River in the north and Wuhe County in the north; Xuyi and Sihong counties in Jiangsu Province in the east; and Dingyuan and Fengyang in the west. Mingguang City, approved by the State Council to withdraw counties and set up cities on May 31, 1994, belongs to Chuzhou escrow, a cooperative city in Nanjing metropolitan area, and a member city in Wanjiang city belt to undertake industrial transfer demonstration zone.
