San Diego (/ˌsæn diˈeɪɡoʊ/ SAN dee-AY-goh, Spanish: [san ˈdjeɣo]; Spanish for 'Saint Didacus') is a city on the Pacific Ocean coast of Southern California located immediately adjacent to the Mexico–United States border. With a 2020 population of 1,386,932, it is the eighth most populous city in the United States and the seat of San Diego County, the fifth most populous county in the United States, with 3,338,330 estimated residents as of 2019. The city is known for its mild year-round climate, natural deep-water harbor, extensive beaches and parks, long association with the United States Navy, and recent emergence as a healthcare and biotechnology development center. San Diego is the second largest city in the state of California, after Los Angeles.

Jingning County, which belongs to Pingliang City, Gansu Province, is located in central Gansu, west of Liupanshan, east of Huajialing, bordering Longde and Xiji County of Ningxia in the east and north, Tongwei and Qinan County in the west and south, Huining County in the northwest and Zhuanglang County in the southeast. It is an important town on the middle line of the eastern section of the ancient Silk Road, pacifying highway, 312 national highway, Jingzhuang, Jingqin highway and highway passing through the border. As of 2017, Jingning County has jurisdiction over 13 towns and 11 townships, a total of 5 communities, 333 administrative villages and 2319 village groups, with a total population of 487500, of which the rural population is 446700, mainly Han nationality, and there are 1210 Hui, Tibetan and other ethnic minorities.
