Baltimore (/ˈbɔːltɪmɔːr/ BAWL-tim-or, locally: /bɔːldəˈmɔːr/ bawl-da-MOR or /ˈbɔːlmər/ BAWL-mər) is the most populous city in the U.S. state of Maryland, fourth most populous city in the Mid-Atlantic, and the 30th most populous city in the United States with a population of 585,708 in 2020. Baltimore was designated an independent city by the Constitution of Maryland[a] in 1851, and today is the most populous independent city in the United States. As of 2021, the population of the Baltimore metropolitan area was estimated to be 2,838,327, making it the 20th largest metropolitan area in the country. Baltimore is located about 40 miles (64 km) north northeast of Washington, D.C., making it a principal city in the Washington–Baltimore combined statistical area (CSA), the third-largest CSA in the nation, with a 2021 estimated population of 9,946,526.

Prior to European colonization, the Baltimore region was used as hunting grounds by the Susquehannock Native Americans, who were primarily settled further northwest than where the city was later built. Colonists from the Province of Maryland established the Port of Baltimore in 1706 to support the tobacco trade with Europe, and established the Town of Baltimore in 1729. The first printing press and newspapers were introduced to Baltimore by Nicholas Hasselbach and William Goddard respectively, in the mid-18th century.

The Battle of Baltimore was a pivotal engagement during the War of 1812, culminating in the failed British bombardment of Fort McHenry, during which Francis Scott Key wrote a poem that would become "The Star-Spangled Banner", which was eventually designated as the American national anthem in 1931. During the Pratt Street Riot of 1861, the city was the site of some of the earliest violence associated with the American Civil War.

Fancheng District of Xiangyang City is located in the northwest of Hubei Province, in the middle reaches of the Han River, with geographical coordinates of 111 °45 mi 113 °47A east longitude and 31 °13 mi 32 °35 °N, bordering Xiangzhou District on the east and north, Xiangcheng District on the south by the Han River, and Gucheng County and Laohekou City on the west. Fancheng District is the central city of Xiangyang, the deputy central city of Hubei Province. It is the economic, transportation, information and logistics center of Xiangyang. It is known as "the south ship and the north horse, the thoroughfare of seven provinces". Fancheng District basically belongs to the subtropical monsoon climate zone, cold in winter and summer in summer, with four distinct seasons. The region has jurisdiction over eight streets and two towns, covering an area of 566square kilometers, with a total population of about 910000 in 2016, accounting for 70 per cent of the urban population of Xiangyang. In October 2018, Fancheng District was selected for 2018.

Xiangyang Liuji Airport (Xiangyang Liuji Airport, IATA: XFN, ICAO: ZHXF), referred to as Xiangyang Airport, is located in Liuji Street, Xiangzhou District, Xiangyang City, Hubei Province, China, 18 kilometers west of the center of Xiangyang. Nine are C-class seats; it can meet the needs of annual passenger throughput of 2.2 million, annual cargo and mail throughput of 15,000 tons, and annual aircraft take-off and landing of 20,000 sorties   .
In 2021, Xiangyang Liuji Airport will handle 1,742,022 passengers, a year-on-year increase of 43.4%, ranking 68th in the country; cargo and mail throughput will be 3,059.4 tons, a year-on-year increase of 7.4%, ranking 85th in the country; aircraft take-offs and landings will reach 71,531 , a year-on-year decrease of 3.1%, ranking 45th in the country   .
