Sacramento (/ˌsækrəˈmɛntoʊ/ SAK-rə-MEN-toh; Spanish: [sakɾaˈmento], Spanish for ''sacrament'') is the capital city of the U.S. state of California and the seat and largest city of Sacramento County. Located at the confluence of the Sacramento and American River in Northern California's Sacramento Valley, Sacramento's 2020 population of 524,943 makes it the sixth-largest city in California and the ninth-largest capital in the United States. Sacramento is the seat of the California Legislature and the Governor of California, making it the state's political center and a hub for lobbying and think tanks. It features the California State Capitol Museum.

Sacramento is also the cultural and economic core of the Greater Sacramento area, which at the 2020 census had a population of 2,680,831, the fourth-largest metropolitan area in California.

Before the arrival of the Spanish, the area was inhabited by the historic Nisenan, Maidu, and other indigenous peoples of California. Spanish cavalryman Gabriel Moraga surveyed and named the Río del Santísimo Sacramento (Sacramento River) in 1808, after the Blessed Sacrament. In 1839, Juan Bautista Alvarado, Mexican governor of Alta California, granted the responsibility of colonizing the Sacramento Valley to Swiss-born Mexican citizen John Augustus Sutter, who subsequently established Sutter's Fort and the settlement at the Rancho Nueva Helvetia. Following the American Conquest of California and the 1848 Treaty of Guadalupe-Hidalgo, the waterfront developed by Sutter began to be developed, and incorporated in 1850 as the City of Sacramento.

Beichuan Qiang Autonomous County is located in the northwest of Sichuan Basin. The geographical coordinates are longitude 103 °44 "104 °42" east and latitude 31 °14 "32 °14 'north. It is bordered by Jiangyou City in the east, Anzhou District in the south, Maoxian County in the west, and Songpan and Pingwu County in the north, covering an area of 2867.83 square kilometers (with a detailed land area of 2869.18 square kilometers). 42 kilometers away from downtown Mianyang and 160 kilometers from the provincial capital Chengdu, it is the only Qiang Autonomous County in China. In 2016, the total population was 240000 (of which 85000 were Qiang, accounting for 36% of the county's total population and nearly 1/3 of the Qiang population in China). Mianyang Nanjiao Airport was approved for construction in 1994 and named Mianyang Nanjiao Airport   ; Construction started in July 1997; it was officially completed and opened to navigation on April 28, 2001   .

In 2019, the passenger throughput of Mianyang Nanjiao Airport was 4,159,400 passengers, a year-on-year increase of 5.6%; the cargo and mail throughput was 8,800 tons, a year-on-year increase of 16.8%; the number of takeoffs and landings was 189,900, a year-on-year increase of 7.6%; ranking 49th in China respectively , 62nd, 17th.
